Converting 16 Film to DVD & Bluray

At Mr. Video, we provide the most cutting-edge film transfers (such as Super 8, Standard 8, 16mm and 9.5mm cinefilm) onto DVD and Blu-Ray. Even films as old as from the 1920’s can be successfully converted in high quality. Our equipment and techniques are bar-none, leaving our customers totally satisfied.

Since starting our business, we have made numerous upgrades to our scanning systems that offer quality that is unmatched. We offer digital film restoration that dramatically reduces the look of scratches and dust. Our processes also help improve color, detail and contrast to produce an image that you can be pleased with.

Mr. Video’s unique film scanning offers an incredibly high quality DVD or Blu-ray from your cinefilm compared to any other type of transfer system. Our clients frequently comment on how much better it looks on the DVD or Blu-ray compared to the projector. We offer impeccable quality to those who are looking to transfer their home movies.

All films feature frames that have to be cut out, and at Mr. Video, we can do just that. We’ll edit out the things that you don’t want to keep. Whether they’re blank film sections, burnt frames, or poor joins, Mr. Video can make your films enjoyable to watch again.

At Mr. Video, we only use the best equipment and tools, and supply a superior result in all aspects. Production houses, TV stations and consumers across the globe recommend Mr. Video.

If you have film that’s very old and brittle, we recommend that you avoid running it through an old-fashioned projector. This will do nothing more than bring too much heat through the projector lamp. At Mr. Video, we can transfer film and images without the use of hot lamps, and will be sure to deliver your original film in the same condition you brought it to us in the first place. In addition, no solvents or liquids are used, which will only deteriorate your film.

Our unique cinefilm processing includes the following:

▪           Broadcast quality

▪           No flicker

▪           Excellent detail, contrast, sharpness and brightness

▪           No streaks or motion blur

▪           Burnt film frames cut out

▪           No out-of-focus issues

▪           No black or fuzzy edges

▪           No shadow color bleed

▪           Rich, natural color

▪           No hot spots

▪           Free film inspection

▪           No heat or tension damage to the film

▪           Ability to scan and mix all small gauge film formats

▪           Reels returned in exactly the same condition as received

▪           All work conducted on Mr. Video’s unique scanning technology

▪           All work conducted by specialists

While we match the film’s color exactly, we can also color grade instead of color correct at an additional cost. Please let us know and we’ll be happy to help you with this.

At Mr. Video, we create an incredible DVD production using your old cinefilm. We include interactive menus, scene selection, chapter markers, themed backgrounds, and a customized DVD and cover. Silent movies can also have fully synchronized background music added to them.

Beware of Imitators

Not all film transferring services are created equal. In fact, there are many so-called “experts” out there claiming to offer superior services to consumers. Many of these frauds project film using a projector onto a wall, mirror, screen, or directly to a video camera, then film it with a camcorder. This will do nothing more than result in an extremely low quality film that will degrade your precious family memories. It can even introduce unnecessary flicker and hot spots.

They will not have the experience nor the expertise to adequately handle your valuable films.
