At Mr. Video, we offer our customers a chance to preserve their memories while making them more accessible than ever.

Using our state of the art equipment, we have helped many families bring their old slides out of the closet and into the modern age. By scanning them into the computer, we can provide you with CD's, DVD's, or computer files which can be flipped through with the touch of a button.

Some slide scanning businesses use their scanners to import their customer's slides in one fell swoop. At Mr. Video, we feel that you and your memories deserve more personal attention. Upon receiving your collection, we scan each of your slides individually using out professional Digital ICE software. This application removes dust spots, scratches, and other stray particles from the photograph. This is done free of charge, no matter which service level you select. The result is a clearer, more authentic image free of unwanted blemishes.

Depending on the service tier you select, here are some of the other services Mr. Video can work on your slides:

Resolution Comparison:
It's important to consider what you'll be using your slides for once we've successfully converted them. Will they be printed out into small versions and placed inside a photo album, or will they be blown up to created a print big enough to hand on your wall? Depending on your needs, Mr. Video offers three different levels of scan quality:

These are measured in DPI, or “dots per inch.” The higher the DPI, the better your photo will hold up under magnification. As you can tell with our example, the difference may not be apparent with only a casual glance. But once the image is enlarged, it's easy to spot the quality shift. So, if you're planning to keep your converted slides only as small pictures for personal viewing, then a lower DPI is acceptable. However, if you plan to display them on a large scale, then the Professional or Deluxe packages will produce superior quality once they're blown up or magnified.

Editing
Once we've scanned and cleaned up your slides, you'll be able to get a look at our work before giving the final OK. We'll show you each and every one of your scanned slides, allowing you to accept only the ones that you feel show the best quality. After receiving your approval, you'll get to choose between our popular delivery options.

Once your slides are scanned and polished, there are several ways in which they can be used. We can simply write them to a CD or DVD as individual picture files, or we can go one step further. Mr. Video offers outstanding editing services, which we can use to turn your photos into a multimedia presentation. In short, we can create a slide show using all of the images we've scanned into the computer. As a finishing touch, we'll provide our own free music to accompany the on-screen display, or let you choose your own audio clip. During viewing time, each slide stays on the screen for six seconds before fading into the next. If you wish to take advantage of this service, you'll need to arrange and label your slides in the order in which you would like them to appear in the show. Our editing price stands at $75.00/hour, with a minimum of one hour's service.
